Meet Linda — Feeding Therapist, Educator, and Mum
Helping little eaters grow calm, curious, and confident with food.
Hi, I’m Linda Rigby — an Early Childhood Teacher, SOS-trained Feeding Therapist, author, and mum who believes that mealtimes can be calm, connected, and even fun.
For many families, mealtimes can feel like a battle. I know that feeling firsthand. My journey into feeding therapy began at home with my own daughter — a bright, curious little girl who also happened to be a fussy eater.
Like so many parents, I felt the frustration, worry, and confusion that come when your child refuses food no matter what you try. That experience changed everything. It inspired me to look deeper, to learn more, and to discover gentle, play-based ways to help children feel safe exploring new foods.
My Approach
Through Nourishing Little Eaters, I combine my background in education, child development, and feeding therapy to support families.
My approach is grounded in:
- Connection before correction — building trust at the table
- Play-based learning — because curiosity grows through fun
- Evidence-based practice — gentle, research-informed strategies
I offer online sessions, parent workshops, and a growing collection of picture books designed to make fruits and vegetables feel friendly.
Beyond Therapy
As an author, my creative work extends these same ideas through stories.
In my picture books — including Lulu’s Rainbow Feast and Ten Hungry Carrots — fruits and vegetables come alive through colour, play, and imagination, helping children see food as fun.
Coming soon is my nonfiction guidebook, Nourishing Little Eaters, written to support parents in understanding their child’s relationship with food and to bring calm back to the family table.
My Philosophy
I believe that every child deserves to feel safe around food, every parent deserves support, and every mealtime can be an opportunity for connection.
By focusing on sensory exploration, gentle exposure, and play, I help families move from stress to confidence — one bite at a time.
